It’s been said that the SCA isn’t a single hobby, but a collection of hobbies around a common theme. There are more things to do in the SCA that can possibly be listed. Most of these activities fall under the realm of one of our officers.
Newcomers

Heavy Combat
The combat supervisor, the Knight Marshal administrates Armored Combat (rattan and armor) activities for the group.

Rapier Combat
The Rapier Marshal is in charge of training and safety around rapier (also called fencing) combat activities.

Live Weapons
The Live Weapons Marshals oversee all official live weapons use of the group. This includes archery and thrown weapons. They are fully warranted and trained to run local practices safely.

Arts & Sciences
The Minister of Arts & Sciences coordinates Arts and Sciences activities for the group such as arranging classes, demonstrations, and leading participants to others who work in fields of their interest.

Children’s Activities
The Minister of Children is charged with arranging and officiating children’s activities. Sometimes known as Minister of Youth.

Heraldry
The Herald is in charge of heraldic activities, such as the creation and registration of names and arms.

Leadership
The Seneschal (Sen.ForthCastle@Meridies.org) acts as the administrative head of the group (much like a president).
The Exchequer (Excheq.ForthCastle@Meridies.org) handles the group’s financial matters.
The Webminister (Web.ForthCastle@Meridies.org) is in charge of maintaining the Shire’s website.
The Social Media Officer (SMO.ForthCastle@Meridies.org) is in charge of maintaining all of the Social Media outlets for our Shire.
The Historian (Hist.ForthCastle@Meridies.org records the history of the group.
